Overview
HOIAN D’OR is a luxury resort real estate project located in the heart of Hoi An, Vietnam — a UNESCO heritage site known for its timeless charm. The goal of this landing page was to communicate the project’s premium value through a balance of modern elegance and cultural authenticity. The design blends minimal contemporary layouts with the warm aesthetics of Hoi An’s heritage, delivering a digital experience that feels serene, refined, and sophisticated.
Problem statement
High-end real estate websites often struggle to balance visual luxury with clarity of information. Many tend to overwhelm visitors with dense content or heavy visuals, causing cognitive fatigue. For HOIAN D’OR, the challenge was to create a landing page that feels exclusive and elegant while maintaining simplicity, readability, and emotional connection with the brand’s story.
Objectives
Present HOIAN D’OR as a premium, timeless brand through refined design language. Combine traditional cultural aesthetics with modern UI principles. Guide users smoothly through the story of the project with elegant motion and visual hierarchy. Ensure a seamless experience across all devices, reflecting the project’s luxury and attention to detail.
Empathy
We started by analyzing the audience — high-income investors and homeowners who value not only real estate quality but also emotional resonance and brand sophistication. They expect a digital experience that reflects exclusivity, trust, and heritage. Our design needed to create that sense of calm prestige — understated, yet memorable.
Define
We identified three key design focuses: visual serenity, cultural symbolism, and smooth interaction. The color palette draws from Hoi An’s signature tones — warm gold, soft beige, and deep green — evoking both nature and heritage. Typography was chosen to combine modern minimalism with subtle classical detail, conveying both strength and elegance.
Ideate
We explored multiple layout directions, ultimately choosing a vertical scroll narrative that unfolds like a serene journey through the project. Each section transitions gently with scroll-based animation, revealing architectural renders, concept visuals, and lifestyle imagery. White space plays a central role, allowing the content to breathe and reinforcing a sense of balance and refinement.
Prototype
Interactive prototypes were built to test scroll rhythm, image transitions, and typographic readability. Subtle parallax effects and fade animations were added to enhance visual flow without distraction. The navigation was simplified to focus on emotional storytelling rather than functional complexity.
Test
Feedback from potential users and stakeholders confirmed that the new layout conveyed a premium feel while remaining intuitive to explore. Testers described the experience as “elegant,” “relaxing,” and “beautifully minimal.” Adjustments were made to optimize performance and animation timing for both desktop and mobile devices.
Solution
The final landing page captures the essence of luxury and heritage. Every visual and interaction detail — from the typography spacing to the scroll behavior — contributes to a calm, refined rhythm. The combination of modern minimalism, soft motion, and heritage-inspired visuals creates a timeless atmosphere that aligns perfectly with the brand’s premium positioning.
